As the world population continues to increase, water scarcity slowly approaches as a big problem. Hello. My name is Kailey Kim and I will be introducing my new project - Blanc. According to the pproximately 2.7 billion people suffer from lack of water, and 1.1 billion people experience water scarcity at least one month every year. Due to the fact that the population is growing at an incredible rate, the demand for water will also increase rapidly. Blanc is a device which recycles water to help preserve the water supply in the ecosystem by reusing water through plants. By filtering access water after watering a plant, the device stores the store to either give the water back to the plant depending on its moisture contents or dispense water when needed. Following the idea of maintenance, the device uses a propeller placed in the way of the water stream being dispensed which generates energy by spinning to conserve electricity. The electricity created by kinetic energy will then be able to charge the device.
操作说明:
When the button on the halocode placed at the back is pressed, the device starts up. The default screen displays the current time. The white button is to dispense water, and the black button is used for other functions such as the date. Pressing the black button once displays the time, twice displays the date, three times displays the temperature and four times displays the air quality. Holding the black button will play these displays in a rotation. Pressing the white button will dispense the water. There are three amounts of water that can be dispensed, increasing according to the times the button is pressed increases. When the water is dispensed, this propeller will be spun around by the force of the water, which will transfer things energy into electricity, charging itself. Depending on the soil’s moisture, the water dispenser will automatically water the plant.
